Senior classes are not limited to seniors. Those new to exercise, returning to it after a long layoff, or simply interested in lighter workouts may find these classes fit their needs. Similarly seniors are not limited to senior classes. Seniors who are fit enough to participate in any class that interests them are encouraged to do so.

BOOMER & BEYOND CLASSES SCHEDULE

JOINT EFFORT

Enjoy a one hour workout in a supportive liquid environment.  This class offers less impact on muscles and joints using a variety of techniques to increase flexibility, balance and strength, as well as cardio endurance.  Joint effort is fun, changing and challenging to all levels of fitness.

WATERWALKING
Waterwalking provides an opportunity to work in a supported liquid environment. One half hour pool time is devoted to those wanting to waterwalk on their own before joint effort class.

BOOMER & BEYOND STRENGTH

Strengthening and stretching exercises will be introduced to promote and improve quality of living.  A great class for mature adults and people new to group exercise.

BOOMER & BEYOND PILATES

BOOMER YOGA
Loosen tight muscles using yoga poses that are safe on muscles and joints and do not violate the principles of exercise specificity. Practice breathing patterns during all poses and employ some meditations for the purpose of soothing the brain and emotions. Go at your own pace and enjoy the flow.

BOOMER & BEYOND CYCLE (not currently offered )
This is a 45 minute class designed for those who are new to cycling, want a shorter ride, or need more options to maintain their health and safety.  If you would like our instructor to work with you individually, please arrive early so we can help you get set for your workout.  Cycling is a  non-impact calorie burning activity which can be safe and effective for most everyone…plus its fun!

SILVERSNEAKERS® Muscular Strength & Range of Movement.
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills.  Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
